Trained by one of Australia’s most respected furniture makers, Robert Loughlin has spent over a decade hand-crafting custom furniture to the most exacting standards, developing his own unique style and approach to furniture design; knowledge he is now passing on to the next generation of furnituremakers. At Loughlin Furniture Designs, Robert’s hallmark as a craftsman is his meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of design and construction: line, form, weight, colour and texture. The goal is to create individually beautiful and unique pieces of furniture rich in character and style. The design should suit the furniture perfectly to its function and its setting, while also complementing the natural tones, colours and textures of the material from which it is made.

Loughlin Furniture’s one-off designs are truly custom-made: as unique as the clients who commission them. Knowing every customer’s needs are different, Robert will work closely with you or your interior designer to create the perfect piece of furniture for any setting or purpose. If you prefer, Robert can visit your home to discuss your ideas with you, and to measure the setting and study its décor and design. Each item is then individually crafted to reflect your lifestyle and personality, and to blend seamlessly into the setting and décor of your home.
